I read two books this week that I wanted to post about. They were super different from each other... The first book I read was Play Dead by Anne Frasier. It was on sale in the Kindle store and it had a ton of great reviews, so I thought I would give it a try. This is part of the Elise Sandberg series, and I was excited to try a new series as I love all the Harlan Coben and Lisa Scottoline ones. I wish I could say I loved this book more, but I . . .
St. Patrick’s Day is already this week! I cannot believe how quickly time is passing and that March is already nearly half over. Although St. Patrick’s Day isn’t a huge holiday, it’s still a day to be celebrated! And, what better way to celebrate than with yummy recipes? Thanks to Pinterest, there are endless recipes out there for not only desserts but entrees, appetizers, and even cocktails to hep us celebrate. I picked some fun recipes I fond . . .
I have been trying to eat and cook healthier, especially since the new year. After the holidays, I definitely needed a detox as I ate so much unhealthy (albeit yummy) food. One of the delicious and fun new foods I’ve been loving are zoodles. In case you haven’t heard of them, these are spiralized zucchini noodles. When I first heard about them, a blogger kind of sold them as a spaghetti replacement. I’m not going to lie - these taste nothing . . .
I love finding new perfumes to try and add to my list of favorites. I really only have a few that I love, but I went to Sephora over the weekend and was on the hunt for more that I liked. I found a few...which was great. They have so many to choose from there...and I love how you can smell the freshness of all of them virtually as soon as you walk in the door of the store. It can be tough to find a great perfume since you don’t want anything . . .
Every day before I leave for work, I am so scared I am forgetting something. Lunch? Got it. Name badge? It’s in the pocket of my work bag. Coffee? In my hand! Keys? Will grab them on the way out the door. Ventra card? In my coat pocket. There are so many things we have to remember to bring with us to work every day as a part of our routine. But sometimes, it’s hard to plan for the unexpected that might come up during a day at the office. From . . .
Am I the only one extremely behind on my holiday thank you cards? I’ve written some but still have others to finish. Usually I am pretty on top of them...but for some reason I have just not kept up with them this season. Nonetheless, I think that thank you cards are so important when someone gives you a gift. They are the perfect way to show people you appreciate the gift they gave you. However, there is nothing worse than a generic thank you . . .
The other day I blogged about my favorite mysteries of 2015, but I wanted to share my favorite books of the year. Reading is one of my all time favorite things to do, and I love sharing book suggestions with my friends and hearing their favorites so that I can add them to my list! 2015 was filled with so many good reads. It is impossible to keep up with all of the great books out there - I want to read them all! Here were my favorites that I . . .
Now that I have my own apartment and don’t live with my parents anymore, I realize how many little things you need for your home. Although the bathroom is the smallest room in our apartment, it requires so many products! Who would have thought?! Between cleaning products, toiletries, and even decorative products...the bathroom requires a lot of upkeep. Here are my top bathroom musts: Lysol Click Gel Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner - you know you . . .
I am personally a warm weather person. Big time. That being said, the winter can be SUCH a downer. This being my first winter in Chicago, I was particularly nervous about surviving the subzero temperatures - especially since I have to walk around so much. Luckily, the winter has not been so bad so far (knock on wood!!). However, it still has been cold. The upside of that is, though, that there are definitely certain products that make the cold . . .
You will learn through my blog that I am obsessed with giving gifts. I love shopping for them and finding the perfect thing for each person that I know and care about. That being said, I feel like being twenty-something, friends are constantly moving into new places and I’m on the hunt for housewarming gifts. I think it’s always nice to bring a little something over when you’re visiting for the first time. That doesn’t mean it has to be . . .
