I am going to get a new iPhone (I can barely hear anyone on mine because there’s a problem with the volume), so the first order of business was obviously ordering a new case. I have several really cute cases for my current phone - I have a photo case, a monogrammed case, a couple generic cases, holiday specific cases, and an awesome vintage-style Nancy Drew case (obsessed! But sadly the designer doesn’t make it anymore). Maybe this seems like a . . .
I was in Connecticut a couple weekends ago for my best friend’s bridal shower. Her wedding is coming up so quickly, and I absolutely can’t wait to celebrate the big day with her. Luckily, my sister and mom were invited to the shower too, making it even more fun. It was a wonderful day in a fabulous location with great food, beautiful scenery, and – most notably – the best company. It was also my mom’s birthday, so it was such a treat to be able . . .
Are you there, summer? It’s me, Sara. Seriously...summer can start any time now. I know that it JUST turned to spring, but I’m already counting down to hot days at the beach, walks by the lake, outdoor brunches, and rooftop bars. And I desperately need a tan. Pale is an understatement. With that being said, I have already been doing a little bit of summer shopping. Maybe it’s a little early to start but...oh well. Plus, I’m going on vacation . . .
So I’ve been working a lot lately, and whenever I am actually home, I tend to be in either my pajamas or some kind of comfy clothes that I can lounge around in. I have a ton of comfortable clothes stockpiled in my (ever growing) pajama drawer, and it’s always funny to see how many of my clothes in the laundry each week end up being pj’s once we finish all the folding (that particular pile is usually pretttttty high). Anyways, I wanted to . . .
Am I the only one ready for summer? I can’t lie, the winter here in Chicago has been pretty mild...but still, I’m sick of wearing my winter coat everywhere I go. I’ve always been way more of a summer person than anything, and there are so many fun things planned for summer 2017 that I am already counting down the days until sunny days, family vacation, celebratory weekends, outdoor concerts, rooftop bars, outdoor brunches, and everything else . . .
So I am going to start doing a weekly roundups of a few of my favorite things from the week each Friday. I thought it would be a fun way to end the week and definitely more exciting than a recap of what happened those days (my life is not that exciting). Here are my favorites for this week: Favorite Meal - I just had the best dinner at Frontera Grill. It’s Rick Bayless’ restaurant here in Chicago that serves creative and delicious Mexican . . .
Valentine’s day is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to show your best girlfriends how much you love them. You don’t have to have a significant other to celebrate, and even if you do have a boyfriend - it’s still nice to show your friends some love, too! Luckily, you don’t have to spend a to show them you care. Check out some of my favorite gift ideas for girlfriends this heart day! They are simple, sweet, and all make for the . . .
Ever since we moved into our current apartment this past July, I’ve been dying to put together a gallery wall. We have a large wall in our hallway that it would look so good on, but I sadly haven’t gotten around to it yet. I posted over on DoItYourself.com about how to design the perfect gallery wall, and now I am just collecting art, photos, and decorative pieces to put my own together. I have a few art pieces that I want to include, but I . . .
New year - new blog themes! Now that the holidays are over, I am going to start posting about lots of different topics, and because Tuesdays, in my opinion, are the worst day of the week (I mean, you’re off the high from the past weekend and so far away from the next one) I want to start posting about some simple and fun favorite pick-me-ups on this day. There are so many simple life pleasures to look forward to and that can brighten any day, if . . .
So with the holiday upon us, everyone is heading to family parties or Christmas gatherings. And what do you need for those? Hostess gifts! These are a great way to show your appreciation for having you, and it’s always a loved gesture by the hostess! You don’t need to bring anything totally crazy, even a small token is a great gesture. I blogged about Thanksgiving hostess gifts by price point (lots of good ideas there!), but here are some more . . .
