So I haven’t been reading as much as I would like to be because I have been so super busy. Plus, one of the books I was reading I was stuck on for two weeks, which is kind of unusual for me. It can be really tough to carve out time to read, especially when I wait until I’m about to go to bed to do so. A lot of nights, I end up falling asleep five minutes after I start reading (that’s the beauty of having a Kindle, people. You can turn the lights . . .
Christmas is coming so quickly, so it’s definitely the time to stock up on gifts if you haven’t done so already. One person that you can’t forget to shop for is your grandma! I know they can be really tough to buy for - sometimes it seems like they have everything they need and don’t want anything at all! But, you still want to get something for them to make the holidays extra special. Here are some cute and fun Grandma gift ideas that they are . . .
It feels like it’s been a long time since I posted about books. Is it just me? I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately (what else is new?), and I’ve read some really good books! I wanted to share them all with you. Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty - so I love this author and have recommended her to a bunch of people (my first pick to suggest is always The Husband’s Secret, which I blogged about here), and most people have loved what they’ve . . .
I haven’t really participated in any white elephant gift exchanges in the past few years besides a “goofy” one where everyone gave gag gifts. I wasn’t too into that one, to be honest...I like gift exchanges where people give nice and useful gifts rather than something ironic. Last year someone I worked with told me about one she was in with her friends and it was such a good idea it got me thinking about what themed white elephants would be fun . . .
I am so excited that the holiday season is finally upon us. We already put up all of our decorations and our tree, and I love it being there. There is something so special about Christmas time! One thing I love during the season is finding books centered around Christmas. To be honest, there are more than you would think! On a chilly weekend day, there is almost nothing I love more than snuggling up on the couch in front of the tree, with a . . .
It’s (kind of) starting to get cold here in Chicago. I say “kind of” because it was 70 degrees the other day! Living here is basically exactly like living in New England - it could be snowy one day and warm enough to wear shorts the next. But hey, if the weather wants to stay it the 70’s (or even the 50’s and 60’s) for the next few months, I will gladly take it! Anyways, since it will inevitably get cold here soon, I am thinking of things that I . . .
Kids make the holidays so fun. It is so cute to see how excited they get throughout the season and how happy they are on Christmas morning after Santa has paid them a visit. I have so many great childhood memories of Christmas and can’t wait until there are kids in my extended family again because it makes the holidays more fun. Decorating gingerbread cookies and houses, leaving cookies for Santa, and decorating the tree...it’s all so much more . . .
Christmas is coming, and you can’t forget to buy for the little ones this holiday season! I mean, there is something so fun about shopping for babies as it is! I love the cute little outfits, the soft blankets, and the bright colored books and toys. And...there are so many gift options out there! You don’t have to buy something boring and bland. You can totally get babies something exciting and fun! With that being said, here are my favorite . . .
As I’ve definitely noted (a time or two) I am obsessed with books and with reading. Little else brings me as much joy as a great book. Books are the perfect escape from reality and reading is undoubtedly one of my favorite ways to spend my spare time. With that being said, I naturally had to put together a gift guide for book lovers! There are so many gifts out there perfectly suited for people who love to indulge in a good book, especially for . . .
The winter is coming way too quickly. If you’re like me, you hate the snow, cold, and being stuck inside. However, the winter is simply unavoidable in most places - like where I live, in Chicago. Much time will be spent indoors, hiding under blankets from the frosty air and icy sidewalks. While at the beginning of the season I find myself excited to watch holiday movies and relax with popcorn in hand, before long being inside can get...really . . .
