Holiday Gift Guide: Gifts for Dog Lovers

I grew up with dogs and they were always such a big part of my life. I can’t imagine my life without them. Living in Chicago, I don’t have a dog right now but I would love one. While I think I will wait to get one, I still am obsessed with my family dogs and love spending time with them whenever I am home. Many of my friends are also dog-lovers, which is what gave me the idea for this post. For all of the canine-crazed on your shopping list this holiday season, there is no shortage of gift ideas. Here are my favorite picks.

Dog art – there is so much art out there centered around our lovable pets. These sketches are a little pricey but are so artsy and I love how they are black and white. These are so cute and I love the unique shape of them. I also love these, which showcase different breeds. Finally, I have been dying for one of these fun and whimsical prints from Etsy.

Household items – there are countless household items out there to showcase a love for dogs. For instance, these tea towels are so cute! I also love these bookends. My mom has white ones just like that and they look so great on a shelf. A framed photo of someone’s beloved pooch would also make a great gift, especially in a frame like this. Finally, I love this “dog mom” mug!

Christmas decor – to celebrate the season, naturally there is an endless array of dog decor out there to adorn your home and holiday tree. From ornaments like this one to tree skirts, you can find almost any decorative object in any breed and it is bound to make a fabulous gift that will be taken out year after year! I also love these dog-themed stockings and think they’re adorable for any family of pet lovers.

Pop your pup – for someone who is TRULY obsessed with their fur babies, I think that the items on Pop Your Pup are hilarious and fun. You can submit a photo of your dog and have a pop-art piece of clothing made. How cool is that?! Talk about a unique gift!

Dogs are not only a pet but a part of our families, and they should be celebrated – especially around the holidays!
