Holiday Gift Guide: Gifts for Kids

Kids make the holidays so fun. It is so cute to see how excited they get throughout the season and how happy they are on Christmas morning after Santa has paid them a visit. I have so many great childhood memories of Christmas and can’t wait until there are kids in my extended family again because it makes the holidays more fun. Decorating gingerbread cookies and houses, leaving cookies for Santa, and decorating the tree…it’s all so much more exciting when there are little ones around! For now, we don’t have many kids around…but I still love looking at gifts for little ones. There are a ton of fun options out there. Check out some of my favorite picks.

Gingerbread Pajamas | Dress | Rudolph Pajamas | Slippers | Dragon Puzzle | Butterfly Puzzle | Baking Set | Bath Crayons | Bathrobe

Puzzles – I recently stumbled upon these puzzles and think they are so adorable for little kids! I love how colorful they are. Also, these simple puzzles are classic and cute. Also, this puzzle is colorful and fun. I think puzzles are always a good option because kids enjoy doing them, and they also get their brains working!

Bath toys – What kid doesn’t love playing in the tub? I know when my sister and I were little we loved it. And, it’s only to be made better by cool toys. This basketball hoop set is fun for little guys or I thought that this soup set was a funny gift. The art sets for the bath are really cool and I am envious it wasn’t around when I was little! Finally, this elephant is super cute. Here’s an idea – you can easily make bath toys into more of a gift set or basket if you want to add a fun towel or bathrobe!

Roald Dahl clothes and books – so Mini Boden recently put out a Roald Dahl x Mini Boden collection that I am OBSESSED WITH. I am seriously jealous that I cannot fit into some of this stuff! Plus, I love the Roald Dahl books. Try pairing an outfit with some of the classic books for the perfect gift (this set on Groupon is a great deal!).

Pajamas – there is something so adorable about kids pajamas. So many fun options to choose from! So soft! And bright and cheerful! For something festive and inexpensive, I like these. And who could resist this classic rudolph set?! For one of my favorite PJ brands, these are good quality and sweet. This is another favorite and great brand, and these are great for Christmas. Pair pajamas with a set of slippers or fuzzy socks and you have yourself a fabulous gift.

Make believe sets – I’ve seen tons of cool sets on Rue La La and similar sites lately of make believe sets for kids. From tea sets to pretend cooking and baking sets, toymakers have thought of everything! This sushi set cracked me up and this coffee set reminded me of a favorite toy from my childhood! Endless options – all of them fun!

I could go on and on with ideas for what to give to kids as a holiday gift, but those are my top favorites. HomeGoods and Marshall’s always have a lot of nice Melissa & Doug sets as well as great kids books. If you are looking to give back this holiday season and love shopping for kids (like I do), then consider picking an “angel” from Project Angel Tree through the Salvation Army. I do it every year and love picking out the presents for a child in need and knowing that I am doing something to brighten Christmas morning for a kid that may not get presents otherwise. If you don’t know of anywhere hosting a tree, Google the program in your area and sign up for the digital one.
