Crazy for Cookbooks

Since I have been enjoying cooking so much, especially since I moved, I love finding new cookbooks to keep in our apartment and try recipes from. Yes, there are so many recipes on Pinterest that you might be thinking, “what do I need a cookbook for?!”, but…there is value in having a great, tried and true cookbook in your cupboard.

There are a bunch of cookbooks that I am dying to try, many that I saw on One Kings Lane. Here are some on my wishlist:

The Ski House Cookbook – no, I don’t like to ski. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love winter comfort food! This book got star reviews on Amazon and just the name and cover of it remind me of Vermont, one of my favorite places.

The Cook’s Bible & Dessert Bible – these look to be filled with classic staple recipes and thus would be great to have on hand for those tried and true recipes that you will make over and over again.

Martha Stewart’s Appetizers – I feel like I am constantly on the hunt for new appetizer recipes as we love hosting people at our apartment, and it’s nice to make something outside the norm of chips and dip and cheese and crackers. This book looks to be chock-full of recipes that are sure to be a hit.

Honey & Co. the Cookbook – this comes from the creators of an extremely popular and successful restaurant in London. I love that this book features simple food items like soups, salads, and dips.

The Quinoa Cookbook – I love quinoa so this cookbook has been on my wishlist for a while! I love how quinoa is so versatile – you can make it with meat, salad…even in healthy desserts…and I bet this book is full of creative ways to use this trendy food.

Some of my favorite cookbooks that I have are the Skinny Taste Cookbook, the Preppy Cookbook, and the classic Better Homes & Garden Cookbook. Where do you get your tried and true recipes?
